August 1st finds the experienced crew of Bonnet Plume outfitters hunting Dall sheep. On the early August hunts there is tremendous opportunity to take an excellent Barren Ground Caribou, as well as an Interior Grizzly. Our Dall sheep hunts are conducted on foot, using horses and aircraft to access the Sheep mountains.

In the latter part of August we move our hunting into a different part of the area. Moose now become an added feature of our animals to be hunted. For hunters interested in an all species hunt, late August, early September is the ideal time of the year.

Mid-September finds us moving to another portion of our area for horseback moose hunts. Caribou and Grizzly are available to hunt as well. For the hunter interested in a more relaxed hunt, we offer hunts on the lakes and rivers for moose by boat. These hunts take place during the rut and are tremendously successful.
